About Florence Anne Footstools

Florence Anne was the name of my late mum, Florence was passionate about interior design and had a natural flair for bringing colours and textures together

Early Days…

When we moved from London to Scotland my mum fell in love with everything tartan, she loved the traditional clan tartans and rich classic fabrics.  In 1994 she opened her first shop Florence Anne Furnishings where she created a range of soft furnishings from chairs, cushions, sofa’s and footstools, I loved her designs which are all as classic and beautiful today as they were 20 years ago.

I never had my mum’s confidence with interior design, I worked in customer service and hospitality and helped run a family business or many years, I also trained as an interpreter for the deaf.

When I bought my first home I loved decorating and renovating it, it took many years and I was delighted when I was asked if it could be featured in a home interior magazine, I realized that I had inherited a small part of my mums talent.

When my mum past away I left my job and started Florence Anne Footstools.
